George asks…
Are there any tricks like copper bracelets, but that work for sore muscles?
I always have sore shoulder muscles due to sitting at the computer all day. I have decent posture, and an ergonomic desk, but I am literally at the computer all day for work and constantly have sore shoulder muscles/back muscles. Any possible folk remedies – like people who wear copper bracelets for arthritis?

To maximize the benefits of apple cider vinegar, a general dosage of one teaspoon is usually recommended stirred into a 6 or 8 oz. Glass of water. Most people cannot drink even this level of dilution of apple cider vinegar and usually add a tablespoon of honey, preferably organic. This dosage can be repeated at each meal, but most find this difficult. Many people find it much more palatable to pour some over their favorite salad.
Vinegar helps:
* Clear your sinusitis Stop hair loss
* Remove toxins from your body Stop a leaky nose
* Prevent mild food poisoning Relieve your joint pains
* Rid your constipation Combat fungal and bacterial infections
* Prevent indigestion Lower your cholesterol
* Lower your blood pressure Prevent obesity, lose weight
* Lower incidents of weak bones Relieve arthritis
I am drinking it regularly, and all my joint pain gone……
Go search ” APPLE CIDER VINEGAR”
you will be very surprise of how effective it works wonder….

Robert asks…
Can copper bracelets be hazardous to your health?
I have worn copper bracelets on both wrist hoping it will relieve some of my arthritis pains and noticed the oxide turns my skin green. Is copper oxide poison and has anyone else tried this? I believe this has helped with the pain a little.

Magnetic Bracelet Fan answers:
Many people wear them. They are not dangerous to your health. People also use copper pots to cook.

Michael asks…
How do copper bracelets work for arthritis, and does your skin absorb the copper?
A friend is wearing a copper bracelet, which he says helps his arthritis. I think this is fine, but I wonder how much copper his skin is absorbing, and is there a toxic effect in the long term?
It turns his wrist a bit green.
Also, how does this idea work? Is there a chemical reaction in the body? Or, if it’s all in your mind, isn’t it still effective since the pain is gone, for whatever reason?

Magnetic Bracelet Fan answers:
We don’t really know…and to be honest we have little clinical evidence to say that they have any effect whatsoever. However I’ll outline some of the work done:
A single study in 1976 looked into this and determined that a significant number of people using the copper bracelets felt a positive effect on their condition vs wearing a placebo bracelet made of aluminum. They also found that over 50 days a copper bracelet worn around the wrist lost about 90 mg.
A 1983 study in animal models showed that arthritic rats would preferentially increase their intake of a solution of Copper Salicylates, suggesting that it had an analgesic effect on condition. The same team looked at the potential for copper to form ligands with the contents of human sweat and to permeate through the skin and found that it was plausible in an animal model.
It appears then that their use might be plausible. I don’t think there would be any toxic side effects to their use – Wilson’s disease is a disease of copper metabolism and there is no chance that the copper from these bracelets could lead to anything like that.

Donald asks…
Is there any health risks associated with wearing copper bracelets?
I have been wearing a copper bracelet for 12 years, and i am well aware by now that every night when i take it off, there is a green mark, some nights it can be more green. Green just does not seem like a healthy color.

Magnetic Bracelet Fan answers:
I believe copper bracelets help with circulation. But I have never heard of any health risk. Maybe because the copper got wet or something.

Mark asks…
Why do people wear copper bracelets? I heard it was something to do with staying healthy?
And magnets touching the skin is meant to be good?

Magnetic Bracelet Fan answers:
Its not a myth its a way of slowly absorbing minerals into the body. Your body absorbs substances through its skin aswel as stomach.

Lizzie asks…
Does anyone know if wearing a copper bracelet provides relief for people with arthritis and rheumatism?

Magnetic Bracelet Fan answers:
There is no evidence that copper bracelets provide anything other than a tacky fashion statement.
This is one of those “remedies” that takes advantage of regression to the mean. That means, that arthritis, like most chronic illnesses wax and wane. As it goes into it’s natural ebb, you will attribute whatever you were doing at the time as being effective….whether that is a copper bracelet, homeopathy or healing crystals.
Think about it. HOW could a copper bracelet have any effect in the first place…what plausible mechanism could there be? How could it affect all joints, and not just the one closest to the bracelet? If it was really so effective, why isn’t it recommended by doctors who treat people with arthritis? (No, it’s not because they are paid by Big Pharma to prescribe poison)

Daniel asks…
Do copper bracelets work for you?
My first arthritis experience was top joint of index finger, from too much cross stitch/crochet/knitting apparently. I found 2 copper rings in a small shop & they worked just fine.
After fracturing my wrist 3 years ago, while ice skating & before you laugh I have been skating since I was 4 & totally blame the hire skates!, I decided to try one for the pain in my wrist & it works great.
I’m not too sure how they work, I think it’s to do with copper warming up & providing warmth to area.
Now I have tendonitis in my elbow & am thinking of getting another one. My daughter thinks I am turning into some sort of exoskeleton.
Do they work for you?

Magnetic Bracelet Fan answers:
I get some joint pain and I’ve noticed it does get some relief.
I strip down wiring for the copper wires, I’m making a giant copper ball (hehehe, for fun) and my joints don’t seem to ache afterwards. It’s either the copper or the manipulation of stripping the wires.
My sister uses magnetic bands and swears by them.
Many people use copper bands and I suppose it affects people in different ways. Maybe it is the warming affect. Maybe you have a copper deficiency in your body and the copper on your skin is being absorbed in minute (teeny-weeny) amounts.

Thomas asks…
Why do some people use wearable magnets?
I was just reading my health book and I came across a statement that I have never heard of. Why do some people use wearable magnets to treat arthritis and painful joints? What is the purpose for wearing magnets? And also, why do golfers (or not just golfers) wear copper bracelets? What is the significance of wearing copper bracelets while golfing?
I was just curious as to why people do all of this as an alternative to paying for medications and what not.

Magnetic Bracelet Fan answers:
Because despite all evidence, they hear a bunch of pseudo-scientific crapola and believe it will cure all that ails them.

Charles asks…

Hematite Magnetic Jewelry
Magnets are not new to us but there are certain magnetic applications that are certainly new to us because we never really knew that magnets have healing properties that can help us to get rid of our health problems. In the last few years, physicians around the world and various health experts have claimed that hematite magnetic jewelry can help us get rid of our problems because they work naturally to resolve our body problems when we wear them all the time. Hence, there has been a sudden demand for hematite jewelry in the market because people want to try different alternative health therapies rather than going for modern medicines that can have disastrous side effects in the long term.
Hematite magnetic jewelry is made from hematite stone which is normally red brown color and it has a lot of iron oxide in it. However, it has good healing powers that we were not aware of earlier. Today, these kind of jewelries can be found in various stores where focus is also given to style and the design of the jewelry. You can find hematite necklaces, bracelets, earrings and anklets that you can wear even when you are going out for a party and no one will ever find out that you are wearing it for health reasons.
Demand for Hematite Magnetic Jewelry
Hematite magnetic jewelry can save you from sickness and pain issues. Some people have very low immune system and therefore they always fall sick because their body defense system is not as strong as it should be. The iron content on this kind of jewelry can help people to improve their immunity and help them to stay fit and fight back all the viruses and bacteria. This jewelry can also help people to get rid of their other health problems like diabetes, frozen shoulder, fibromyalgia, bone spurs, rheumatoid arthritis and many other joint problems.
People who have blood circulation problems can get relief when they wear hematite magnetic jewelry. The iron oxide can penetrate the skin as and when required and charge the ions present in the blood to improve its circulation. It also ensures that more oxygen is provided to the blood to keep blood circulation under control. Hence, you can use them for resolving kidney problems, anemia and even for getting rid of fever from forehead. Hematite jewelry is also popular for giving out calming effects to our mind when we are stressed out.

When was the last time you saw someone wearing copper bracelets? Well, even if you haven’t seen anybody wearing bracelets in the real world you must have definitely seen it in historic movies. Bracelets have suddenly become a fashion statement but they were common in various ancient societies. Although, copper bracelets are worn today as style statement they were not meant for style in the ancient times. People in the past believed that copper was a very useful metal and it had certain good properties that can keep us healthy and therefore they came up with bracelets that would keep them in good health.
You will find it interesting but copper bracelets were found in various parts of the globe. This means that they were worn by Pharaohs in Egypt, Rajas in India, Chinese Emperors, Kings in Persia, and even Alexander, the Great used to have bracelets to ensure good health. This means that it is universally accepted that they can keep you in good shape and health. Let’s take a quick look at why so many people across the globe preferred wearing a bracelet when they can easily afford gold and silver ones.
Copper bracelets are good for you if you have blood pressure problems. It has been proved that copper plays an important role to absorb and use iron in blood flow and therefore it helps in keeping the blood flow in control. It also works as an antioxidant with body enzymes and helps to get rid of free radicals inside our body.
In one of the researches done by Mayo Clinic it was found that 75% of the patients suffering from arthritis and rheumatoid arthritis got some kind of relief when they started wearing copper bracelets. This reveals that bracelets can heal arthritic pains when they come in constant touch with human body.
It has also been studied that very small portions of copper penetrate through our skin only when needed and they optimize the use of zinc and iron to provide us with better immune system. This means that copper bracelets can help in strengthening our immune system. Hence, people who are sick or who don’t have good immune system should always wear copper bracelets to ensure that their immune levels are maintained.
These bracelets can even compensate the copper deficiencies in our body to ensure that our body can fight back foreign bacteria and viruses.

The Copper Theory
Various forms of copper have been used for medicinal purposes throughout the history of mankind. The ancient Egyptian, Greek, Roman, Persian, Hindu and Aztec writings record various consistent medicinal uses of copper.1
Today, as more information becomes available, alternative health care and home remedies are gaining popularity. Health publications include copper bracelets as a home remedy to possibly ease the pain from arthritis in some people who seem to get an insufficient amount of copper from their food. Helmar Dollwet, Ph.D., of the University of Akron, has studied this copper connection and thinks the dissolved copper from a copper bracelet entering the body through the skin may be the only way for them to get the copper they need.2
Another study found patients wearing copper bracelets absorbed an average of 13 milligrams of copper during a month. “This could bring many people into the recommended daily intake for copper (1.5 to 3 milligrams). Copper absorbed through the skin gets into circulation very efficiently – more so than most dietary copper.” Superoxide Dismutase (SOD) is one of the body’s own copper-dependent enzymes that reduces pain and inflammation. The body may use copper to make more of its own SOD.3

The Magnetic Theory
Magnets have been used in different cultures over the years by those who believe magnets worn on the body promote good health. The theory is that magnet therapy may be beneficial by affecting the circulatory system, the blood flow in the body. Increased circulation is beneficial because the body gets more of the nutrients it needs from the blood.
